Proffitt & Cox recently represented the estate and family of a pedestrian who was run over by a commercial vehicle and killed while walking across a downtown Columbia street.  The horrible accident was witnessed by several drivers and recorded on city surveillance cameras.

With Proffitt & Cox’s help, the estate and family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the trucking company and its driver. The case was successfully resolved via a confidential settlement following mediation.
